**content warning: mentions transphobia, transmisogyny, violence towards trans women**

In 2016, we made a film called “29 Hours” which sheds light on the violence faced by trans women around the world. In the film, we feature some inspiring local women who speak to the audience about their experiences, resilience, and the need for change on an international level.

We want to acknowledge the incredible lives of Marsha P. Johnson, Sylvia Rivera, and the other trans women of colour who were instrumental in launching the LGBTQ rights movement. Without them, we would not be where we are today. Let's take time to remember those who we have lost and thank those who continue to fight to end violence against the trans community.
