RECLAIMING GENDER-DIVERSE NARRATIVES ON SCREEN

reDIRECT is a film training program for individuals who identify as trans, nonbinary, two-spirit, or otherwise gender diverse. The training will be facilitated by Jake Ivany and Steph Young of Asterix Media, a nonprofit organization focused on amplifying the stories and voices of marginalized communities through filmmaking and other artistic practices.

Throughout the program, participants will be encouraged to question and challenge dominant media portrayals and will acquire the skills, tools, and resources to reclaim and create their own narratives through film production.
